Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

This three ingredient cookie is perfect for cooking with kids. Delicious, easy and totally cheap! Plus, it’s gluten free and takes less than 30 minutes from start to warm, melt in your mouth finish.

 

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Using only three ingredients, and 20 minutes,  this is a perfect Kid-Tested, Diva-Approved, Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies recipe. There’s lots of stirring and rolling stuff in sugar, and it’s very inexpensive! This recipe is very tactile which is especially great for very young kiddies. So easy, it’s goof proof guaranteeing a delicious success.

 

Remember, anytime kids use the oven adult supervision is required.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

What You’ll Need: 

  • 1 cup sugar + ¼ cup for rolling
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)

 

Here’s How:

Preheat oven to 375°.

Mix sugar and egg in mixing bowl, stirring till smooth.

Add peanut butter and blend thoroughly. Roll into walnut-sized balls and roll in sugar to coat.

Place the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheets at least 2″ apart. Flatten with the tines of a fork to create cross hatches.

Bake 10 minutes at 375°F. Let cool in pan for 1 minute before removing to cooling rack.

Variations of Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies:

  1. Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies:

    • Add 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips to the cookie dough for a delicious chocolatey twist.
  2. Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies:

    • Mix in 1/2 cup of quick oats to add texture and a subtle nutty flavor to the cookies.
  3. Honey Peanut Butter Cookies:

    • Replace half of the sugar with 1/4 cup of honey for a softer, chewier cookie with a hint of honey sweetness.
  4. Nutella Stuffed Peanut Butter Cookies:

    • Make small balls of cookie dough, flatten them, place a small spoonful of Nutella in the center, then fold the dough over to encase the Nutella. Roll into balls again and bake as usual.
  5. Peanut Butter and Jelly Thumbprint Cookies:

    • Make an indentation in the center of each cookie before baking and fill it with your favorite fruit jam or jelly after baking.
  6. Peanut Butter Banana Cookies:

    • Mash 1 ripe banana and mix it into the cookie dough along with the peanut butter and sugar. This adds natural sweetness and a hint of banana flavor.
